Description

The EvanCare HIV 1/2 rapid test uses immunochromatographic technology for qualitative detection of HIV antibodies. The manufacturer's information describes testing with whole blood, serum or plasma and visual interpretation of the test cassette.

HOW TO USE / TEST PROCEDURE
Specimen/route: Blood/serum/plasma, depending on the specific kit instructions.
Use exactly according to the supplied instructions, including the specified sample volume and reading time.

Result interpretation:

Negative: Control line appears without a test line.
Reactive: Control line plus a test line appears.
Invalid: Control line does not appear; repeat with a new test.

How to use

Specimen/route: Blood specimen, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Follow the instructions supplied with the kit for sample collection, sample volume, buffer and result-reading time.

Important warnings

Reactive does not by itself establish an HIV diagnosis; confirmatory testing is required. A negative result does not necessarily exclude very recent infection, because antibodies may not yet be detectable. Do not use an expired or damaged test. Do not interpret results after the manufacturer's specified reading window. For suspected recent exposure, professional HIV testing and appropriate clinical follow-up should be considered.
