Description
Gaviscon Double Action Liquid 150 ml is a peppermint-flavoured medicine for heartburn, acid reflux and indigestion. Each 10 ml contains sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate 213 mg and calcium carbonate 325 mg.
Sodium alginate forms a protective layer over stomach contents, helping reduce acid reflux into the food pipe, while sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate neutralise excess stomach acid. This dual action helps relieve the burning sensation in the chest, sour-tasting reflux and acid-related discomfort after meals.
The liquid suspension is suitable for people who prefer a liquid antacid for managing occasional heartburn and acid indigestion.
