Pergalin 75 mg contains pregabalin 75 mg, which acts on calcium-channel subunits in the central nervous system to reduce abnormal nerve signalling. Pergalin as an anti-epileptic medicine.
Pregabalin is used in adults for neuropathic nerve pain, including peripheral and central neuropathic pain. It is also indicated as adjunctive therapy for partial seizures and for generalized anxiety disorder in adults
Route: Oral Active ingredient: Pregabalin 75 mg per capsule. The usual adult total daily dose is 150–600 mg per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses. The appropriate dose depends on the condition being treated, response to treatment and kidney function. Neuropathic pain: Usually started at 150 mg/day, divided into 2–3 doses. It may be increased to 300 mg/day after 3–7 days and, when necessary and tolerated, up to 600 mg/day. Partial seizures: Usually started at 150 mg/day in 2–3 divided doses and adjusted according to response. Generalized anxiety disorder: Usually started at 150 mg/day in 2–3 divided doses and adjusted according to response. Swallow capsules whole with water. They may be taken with or without food. Important: Pregabalin requires dose adjustment in patients with reduced kidney function. Treatment should generally be tapered gradually over at least 1 week rather than stopped abruptly.
